Affordable Housing Committee meetings and are held on the first and third Thursday of the month at 4:30 PM at the Town Hall, second floor. Edgartown Housing Trust meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 4:00 PM at the Town Hall, second floor.
The goal of the Affordable Housing Committee is to provide homesites at less than market price for people who have lived in Edgartown for a substantial time, but because of high land prices are unable to establish their homes in the town.
The program is intended to serve a clear need, lessen situations of hardship, and to retain a stable and diversified year-round community in Edgartown.
Lotteries are held for recipients and the Dukes county median income is used as an income guideline.
