The Council on Aging publishes a monthly newsletter with a full calendar of events. It is available in Edgartown at The Anchors, Town Hall, and the MV Boys and Girls Club Thrift Shop. Updates and information are also available in the "55Plus Times," which is an insert in the MV Times, the last Thursday of each month; also on our Face Book page, EdgartownCOA, on MV Patch, MVTV, and weekly emails for which you may sign up by contacting Laurie at

Can I make a donation to the Anchors? |
Donations to the Council on Aging may be made directly to us, made payable to our special account, out of which we fund lunches, trips, and other activities. The Friends of The Edgartown Council on Aging is a nonprofit group which helps fund and support the Anchors, making many programs possible. Donations may also be made directly to our Friends. |

How do I get to the Anchors? |
The Anchors is located in Edgartown where Dock Street meets Daggett Street. It is behind the Sculpin Gallery which is on the harbor across from the Chappy Ferry. To get to the Anchors: drive down Main Street in Edgartown to its end, where you make a left onto Dock Street. Drive down Dock Street about 3 blocks until you see the Soft as a Grape clothing shop on your right. Directly across on your left is the gravel parking lot (with a sign for Kelly House parking) and entrance to the Anchors, the large white house in front of you as you enter the lot. Parking for the Council on Aging is clearly marked by signs. |

Can I walk in and join any activity, or do I have to call ahead or sign-up in advance? |
Each and every lunch, activity, event, and program at the Anchors requires you to sign up no later than 24 hours before it takes place. This allows us to plan accordingly for the demand. |
Does the Anchors have parking? |
Parking to the Anchors is limited and, in the summer, very limited. Guests are encouraged to use public transportation, including the VTA or Park and Ride, and avoid using their own car. |
