    The Park and Recreation Commissioners are responsible for the following sites: South Beach, Bend in the Road at State Beach, Robinson Road Recreation area, WIlson's Landing, and Cannonball Park.

South Beach & Bend in the Road Beach

The lifeguards are on duty from 9am-5pm starting June 29th until September 3rd. The beaches close at midnight.

The beaches do not allow alcohol, organized parties or open fires. No dogs are allowed on the beach.

As a safety precaution we ask that no holes be dug on the beach as they can become very dangerous.

Beach wheelchairs are available on a first come, first serve basis and are located at the lifeguard shack at right fork July 1- September 3rd. Beach wheelchairs are available at Bend in the Road beach at the lifeguard stand from July 1st- September 3rd.

Lost and found for the Bend in the Road beach is the lifeguard stand. Lost and found for South Beach is the lifeguard shack located at right fork. Items turned in will be held for two weeks, and then dropped off at the Edgartown Police Department.

Portable toilets are available at South Beach from June 28th- Sept 4th.

Robinson Road Recreation Area

The Recreation area is open and staffed from July 1st- August 31st from 8am- 7pm and runs on a “drop in” basis. The Recreation Area is free for everyone to use. Please see our schedule of activities here (CLICK HERE FOR AN UPDATED CALENDAR FOR PARKS DEPARTMENT SUMMER PROGRAMS)

Dogs and alcohol are not allowed at the Recreation Area.

Portable toilets are available from June 30th- August 31st.

To participate in tennis or swim lessons, please purchase a resident card from the staff @ the Robinson Road Rec area after July 1st 2018.

Tennis lessons

Tennis lessons are taught at the Robinson Road Recreation Area. Please fill out the registration form and return it to the Park Department, Town Hall, Edgartown by June 30th. Programs are taught July 2nd- August 31st and are broken down by age.

Basketball Program

The basketball program will run from July 10th-August 18th and is open for grades 1-10. Please see the schedule for the basketball program. Please use the basketball registration form and register with the Park Department before July 1st. Resident ID cards are not required but there is a $10.00 fee for the basketball program.
